Hospital Photos

So, Summer is now 5 weeks old! SO, SO, SO crazy! Time is flying by, and I'm begining to wonder how moms of more than one kid are able to keep up a blog. I feel like I have very little time for anything, and getting a camera out to take pictures seems almost impossible. We went to California for Lindsie's wedding and for Thanksgiving (and though I will post the few pictures I took, and ones that I steal off of my families facebook pages) I was hardly able to take any pictures at all. We brought our camera, but trying to take care of two little kids left me feeling completely unable to take nice pictures of the trip... oh well. I'm sure with time I'll feel like I can do more. Until then, you will all have to just accept fewer blog posts with fewer pictures. This post, however, is dedicated to the amazing pictures that were taken at the hospital! Bella Baby Photography has this genious idea where they come to the hospital and visit every baby born (if you give your approval of course) and they take amazing newborn pictures. Then they put them online for 2 weeks and you can order if you want, or just enjoy looking at them. Of course, after seeing how adorable they turned out, we ordered the CD haha. And I think it was totally worth it! Now we can order however many we want and we can order for the grandparents also! Enjoy the cuteness!

Welcome baby Summer Nicole Nelson!!

Can you believe that that adorable little face is the face of my daughter?!?! I hardly can. I love that I have two little girls now. I feel so very blessed. Both mom and baby are doing great. We went into the hospital Thursday morning to get induced. Things started out slow, painstakingly slow. I thought for sure that the baby wouldn't come until the middle of the night, or maybe even the next morning. But then, suddenly, right after the epidural was given and before it had starting doing its magic, I dialated from a 4 to a 10 and started pushing! Needless to say, I felt EVERYTHING! But, with how fast everything went, and only 15 minutes of pushing, it really wasn't that bad. I definitely would prefer such a quick deliver while feeling the pain, than if I had had to be in labor for the rest of the day.
Summer has been a really good baby so far, though she has kept me up quite a bit at night. The hardest thing so far has been trying to help Brooklyn adjust, and keeping her from attacking the baby. When she came to the hospital the first day, she started crying so hard when she saw me holding Summer. It was very sad :( . Things have gotten better since then. She is interested in Summer, and most of the time she tries to be soft, but she does get mad and jealous. She has kicked Summer in the head (purposefully), has scratched her face MANY times, has hit her a few times, and has trampled her a few times. Plus she is CONSTANTLY stealing SUMMER's binky. Looks like my life now consists of changing poopy diapers and protecting Summer from Brooklyn haha Life is good :)
Enjoy the pics of our adorable baby girl!

Pumpkin Patch, Sillyness and More

Last week we took Brooklyn to the pumpkin patch for the first time to pick out her very first pumpkin! It was a lot of fun, and as a bonus there was a mini petting zoo there, and Brooklyn loved watching the animals. We probably could've stayed there for hours!
Brooklyn sitting with her little pumpkin, and Brian and my bigger one.
Picking out her own pumpkin.

Searching for a good one.

Petting the animals

I just had to add the picture. This must have been the most stylish and trendy outfit Brooklyn has ever worn and she looks so stinkin cute! I still can't get over how cute that baby-sized puff vest is!
And of course I have to have a picture to show the world her very first braids!! It was a miracle that she sat still long enough to do this, and that she left them in once I finished! I can't believe her hair is long enough to braid! She looks to cute and grown up!
And here is a video and pictures of Brian being silly with Brooklyn! They are so funny and cute together. I especially love how Brooklyn attempts to say "Cheese" for each picture, listen and you'll hear her say it in the video!

Chatterbox

Brooklyn must be the most talkative little girl I've ever seen! and she doesn't even know how to talk! haah (well, she does know about 6 words) We bought her a Toddler Bed, since in a couple of months she will be kicked out of the crib so the new baby can use it. She doesn't sleep in the toddler bed yet, but she LOVES to play on it (i'm hoping that means she will be excited when we finally have her sleep in it). The other night we were trying to get her ready for bed and she climbed up on the toddler bed and decided to tell us a BIG, LONG story instead of going to bed. The video is really long, don't feel like you need to watch the whole thing, but it is just a glimpse of how talkative she is! She spends most of the day walking around chatting like this! I wonder if she will still talk as much when the jabbering becomes actual words?
-For some reason I can't get blogger to let me upload pictures. So to see the video of Brooklyn you can go to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=660taIu9SNM

Big, Long, Summer Post

So, apparently I'm only writing seasonally now haha. I haven't really written all summer, not because I'm too busy, and not because I haven't had anything to blog about, but basically just because I haven't felt like it. I'm gonna try to make this as short and sweet as possible. So, I'll just post some pics from the summer and put a few comments, but not much detail. Pictures are the fun part anyways, right?
Things may or may not be in order, it's all pretty much a bunch of randomness. Most of the pictures aren't very good because we lost our camera and have resorted to taking pictures solely with our video camera. Also, lots of fun things that we did this summer (more swimming adventures, family reunions, birthdays, aniversarys....etc. we have no pictures of because we are lame and forget to take our camera places)

Sweet picture of Brooklyn outside of the Provo Temple.
